MUSOMAGIC WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS WITH GIFTS AND TALENTS
Students from our school joined with students from other local state schools in a workshop run by Adam Thompson, an original member of Chocolate Starfish.
Students with gifts or talents in the performing arts (choral and visual) and/or English worked with Adam for two days to create the lyrics and melody of their song “Never Surrender”. They also recorded both the song and video clip and designed the CD cover.
“Never Surrender” was aired on ABC radio on July 21 and Chisel Tip’s premiere performance was held at the PCYC in front of parents and interested community members. Plans are already in the pipeline for a future workshop.

Muso Magic Workshop
This week students in the middle phase (Years 5-9) from Cannonvale SS, Proserpine SS, Proserpine High School, Hamilton Island SS and Hayman Island SS participated in a workshop with Adam Thompson from Chocolate Starfish at the PCYC.
The workshop was part of the Gifted and Talented project for students who were talented in either the performing or visual arts or language. The culmination of the project was a performance of their song and music that they composed and recorded at the PCYC. Students developed not only the music and lyrics but also designed the CD cover. The words to the song are printed below:
